The snow flakes are about to fall and everyone is getting their festive cheer on. As the temps drop, the sweatshirts and long sleeves come out of storage. Friends of Terri are gearing up for another fundraising effort, but this one you can do in the comfort of your warm home. There are many expenses still ahead for Terri and Jeff as Terri progresses with her ALS condition.
Our friends are in the midst of selling their home in order to find a one-story home with a master bath and bedroom on the first floor. No one wants to think about facing a future with ALS, but the doctors and social workers have strongly encouraged the Saenz’s to make these difficult decisions now while Terri is still active and able to get around. As soon as they find that home, construction enhancements will need to be done in the home to make it ready for what the future holds.
In the mean time, Terri has one more final visit to Mayo to participate in the clinical trial. Then the trips to Mayo in Minnesota will be reduced down to just four a year for quarterly doctor assessments, physical therapy, speech therapy, and overall treatment.
So we can all show our support and help ease the financial burden of ALS on Terri by purchasing some brand new wearables – the Winter Collection! There are long sleeve T-shirts, crew sweatshirts, hoodies, and zip up sweat jackets. There’s even a fleece blanket to wrap up in or take to a chilly football game. Just like the T-shirt sales from summer, about 60% of the retail cost will go directly to Terri. Heritage Logo Works in Plymouth have been very gracious to develop and manage this fundraiser. When you order through their online website, they will process your order, collect payment, produce your item doing all the printing in Plymouth, and even ship it if necessary. They are local so its easy to pick up your items about one week after you place the order.
The Winter Collection is navy with Terri’s signature lime green lettering. Payments can be made by credit card or PayPal. Click on the link to check out the items. http://heritagelogoworks.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=23
Remember, this is a fundraiser for Terri, but also a wonderful way to show your support and raise awareness about ALS. It’s an underfunded disease that still doesn’t have a cure. As always, God is good always, and so are miracles and cures. Thank you!
