The 2015 Bowling Night for My Friend Terri is behind us, and what a night it was. Over 200 supporters came out on Friday August 7th to show their love and support for Terri and her battle against ALS.
Westland Bowl was a great venue to host our event. Their staff was outstanding and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Big shout out to our caterer, Scott Winfrey of Marquis Foodservice Catering in Westland. They put out a spread that everyone could enjoy! What a wonderful donation by our classmate from JGHS. If you want your next event to be a smashing success, then visit www.MarquisFoodservice.com.
Another shoutout to Heritage Logo Works for printing up so many t-shirts for folks to buy. Plus, they designed a beautiful “blinged” shirt for Terri to sport at the event. There’s plenty of
shirts available still for purchase. 60% of money from shirt is donated direct to Terri. Click here to order a My Friend Terri Shirt today.
Lastly, we have to thank all the folks that donated items for the big raffle. We had two iPad Mini’s (Thanks Judy Durham and CDW), Tiger’s tickets, hockey jersey, jewelry, margarita baskets, food baskets, beach baskets, and more. We even had a wonderful donation of diamond earrings courtesy of Sean Bono of A&E Jewelry (www.AandEjewelry.com). Almost everyone left with a gift.
We raised some money to help Terri and Jeff with their travel and lodging expenses associated with Terri’s participation in the ALS stem cell clinical trial in Rochester,
Minnesota. Read more about this effort at www.Brainstorm-cell.com. Terri and Peggy visited the Mayo Clinic the three days prior to the big bowling event. The doctors and nurses at Mayo are incredible and we are very grateful for all they are doing to find a cure for ALS.
Lastly, big thank you to our organizer Tracy Dunsmore Posey who made the event come together. Without her guidance, the event would not have happened. On behalf of Terri, Jeff, and the entire family, thank you all who donated, attended, and supported the Bowling Night for My Friend Terri!
